What’s Happening to This Country? What do we do?
Where do we go?
Lorraine Day, M.D.
There is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. The Jewish Zionist/ Illuminati/ One World Government cabal owns the government and the money supply of virtually every country in the world, including the U.S. Government.
Where do we go for advice and direction? Who can we trust?
Will we ask the Government to save us? The government is responsible for the mess we’re in. All governments LIE to their people. The elitists HATE the common man. Their goal is to destroy the vast majority of the population of the entire earth. The leaders of virtually every country on earth are part of this vast conspiracy to annihilate the population and take the whole world for themselves.
Are you going to put your trust in THEM?
It is precisely because the governments of the world have turned their back on the TRUE God that the world is in such chaos.
Will we turn to Psychics, Fortunetellers, Witches to save us? They all get their information from the same source as the government! Either they are frauds scam artists or they are hooked up with the Adversary, Satan and his demons. But Satan and his demons are the ones who actually control the Zionist Jewish/Illuminati/ One World Government cabal.
On the other hand, you may decide to rely on yourself, which will be just as foolish. Not one of us can foretell the future nor do we even claim to. Not one of us knows what will happen tomorrow, or even ten minutes from now. And people just like us are the source of all the problems in the world that we now have.
The Bible tells us that Jesus did not put his trust in “man” because He knew what was in man. (John 2:24,25)
“Man” does NOT know the future, nor does he even claim to be able to predict with absolute certainty what will happen. “Man” walks in darkness, but God DOES know the future.
So will we turn to God to save us? A God that few people, including Christians, have learned to know in a personal way, in a Father-son or Father-daughter relationship. Few Christians have learned to trust God with their life and the lives of their spouse and children!
It is not necessary to be a church-goer or a member of a religious denomination to be a believer in God. Christianity is not a religion. It is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This one-on-one personal relationship between us individually and Jesus Christ, is only hindered by an Organized Church, with its hierarchy, buildings, control, and institutionalized dogma.
Knowing what I know about the world, humanity, and the Adversary Satan - I have opted to put my trust in God and take His advice.
But Does God Really Exist? Is He Interested in Each of Us Individually?
Since there’s nowhere else to turn, why not try to find out?
What Does the Bible Say About the Future?
The Bible tells us that things are only going to get worse and worse and worse - until the WHOLE WORLD will follow after, and be under the control of, the evil Beast Power Jewish Zionism. (See Studies on Revelation particularly Revelation, Chapters 6-10,13,14,17 on www.goodnewsaboutgod.com)
The “Saints,” the TRUE Christians, will be given into the hands of that Beast power Jewish Zionism - (Rev. 13:7) and those Christians who will not worship the beast power by declaring that the Jews are not only God’s “Chosen People” God’s special pets - but that they are actually “God on earth,” will not be allowed to buy or sell (verse 16) and many will be killed (verse 15).
There will be severe famines (Rev 6:6,7) and massive epidemics of disease, death from wild animals even in the cities, death by beheading (“by the sword”) (verse 8) and death from wars practically everywhere on earth. (verse 4).
Eventually the elements of the earth will melt with fervent heat (2 Peter 3:10,12) and there will be tremendous thunder, lightning and earthquakes greater than any that have ever happened on the earth. (Rev 8:5; 11:13,19; 16:18.)
“Men’s hearts will be failing them for fear.” Luke 21:26
Because of their great fear, men “will call for the rocks and mountains to fall on them.” Rev. 6:16
This is a tremendously frightening picture and again confirms that we CANNOT trust in “man.” After all “men’s” hearts will be failing them for fear.
There’s no help there.
What Does God Say?
The Bible is filled with God’s promises to “never leave us or forsake us,” and His command to us is to “Fear Not” precisely because He knows what will happen in the coming times. If we do not prepare by learning to know the Lord in a very personal way now, so personal that we can trust Him with our very life, we too will be so consumed by fear that we will call for the rocks and mountains to fall on us.
But God promises to be with us. That will bring us peace, but only if we truly believe it. In order to believe it with all our heart, we must get to know God and learn to trust Him with all our heart.
Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my right hand of righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Timothy 1:7
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry, and He will say, "Here I am." Isaiah 58:9 NASB
You will pray to Him, and He will hear you. Job 22:27 NASB
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
Being fully persuaded that what He has promised, He is able also to perform. Romans 4:21
I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. Isaiah 46:11
For I am the Lord, I change not. Malachi 3:6
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Psalm 91:2
When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, they will not drown you! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up - the flames will not consume you. Isaiah 43:2 LB
The righteous man has many troubles, but the Lord helps him through every one. Isaiah 43:2 LB
You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you surround me with songs of victory. Psalm 32:7
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. . . Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me. Psalm 23:1,4
The Purpose of Life
We are on this earth for one reason and one reason only to get to know God, to understand His character, to become ONE with Him, and to have Him put His character His life - in us.
This only occurs through severe trouble trials and tribulation.
That is why we are told to “Rejoice” and “glory” in our trials and tribulations (2 Cor 7:4; Romans 5:3) because they build character and help us learn to trust in God.
Christians say they trust God. But the proof of that trust or belief can only be confirmed if it is actually tested. The apostle Peter was certain that he would not betray Jesus under any circumstances, and boldly stated so. But when Peter was tested, he failed miserably not once, but three times. (John 13:38)
Christians say they trust God to heal their disease (Psalm 103:3), yet they immediately trot off to the doctor, to follow the doctor’s way man’s way - rather than following God’s way. Their actions prove that they trust in “man” irrespective of what they say.
Christians say they trust God for their safety, yet they believe in self-defense even with the use of a gun to kill another person. Their actions prove that they trust in “man” in themselves and not in God.
Christians often say, “God helps those who help themselves” and attribute that statement to God. But that is a quote from Benjamin Franklin, a member of the elitist Illuminati, the group that has been planning for hundreds of years to destroy all governments and religions and take over America and the world for themselves.
The truth is that God only helps the helpless - those who finally admit that they cannot help themselves they are unable to run their own life. As long as we maintain our right to ourselves, as long as we believe we can solve our own problems, God can do nothing for us. Only when we come to the end of ourselves, when we have nowhere to turn, when we finally give up our right to ourselves and give it over to God, when we recognize our overwhelming need for Him to make all our decisions for us, will He then be able to direct our life.
It is virtually impossible for us to learn to trust God with our life when we’re in a crisis. In a crisis, we only plead for God to save us from disaster. Learning to trust the Lord is a result of getting to know Him in a close, personal way, the way we learn to trust our parents, our spouse, or a very close friend.
It is impossible to trust a stranger, or even a casual friend, with your life. We can learn to trust someone, a family member or close friend, only if we have known him for a long time and found him to be trustworthy repeatedly, someone who will always come through for us. That type of trust cannot be established in a moment, it takes time a long time.
Trusting God with our life, trusting God with the life of our husband or wife, trusting God with the lives of our children, can only occur if one learns to know God over a long period of time by diligent, daily, Bible study and prayer when we are not in a crisis. It can only occur if we have experienced and confirmed God’s trustworthiness repeatedly in less dire, non-life-threatening, circumstances.
The world does not think it strange when a man cries out for God when he is in fear for his life. But the world does look with contempt on a man who relies totally on God when his life is not in danger. The world erroneously classifies that as weakness.
How Bad Will the Time of Trouble Be?
1) It will be the worst that the world has ever seen since the flood of Noah’s time when the whole world, except a family of 8, were destroyed. (There were no nations before the flood.)
“. . . and there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation. . .” Daniel 12:1
2) There will be no peace on the whole earth, and they will kill one another. Rev 6:4
3) There will be severe famines. Rev. 6:6,8
4) There will be epidemics of deadly diseases. Rev. 6:8
5) People will be killed by wild beasts. Rev. 5:8
6) All the fish in the sea will die. Rev 16:3
7) The fresh waters for drinking will be severely polluted and undrinkable. People will die of thirst. Rev 8:11; 16:4
8) Men will be severely tortured but not allowed to die. Rev 9:5,6
9) “Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! For the devil has come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time.” Rev. 12:12
10) The Devil will be enraged with the true believers in Christ and will make war with them. Rev. 12:17
11) Satan will make war with the saints and overcome them. He will have power over all kindreds, and tongues and nations. Rev 13:7

Persecution of Christians is Already Happening in Many Countries
China: Christians are beaten, imprisoned and tortured in China today. (http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2000/march6/6.70.html)
Turkey: Torture of Christian missionaries has included disembowelment, emasculation (cutting off of the male genitalia), and the slicing open of various orifices before they were killed by cutting their throats.

tortured.before.killings/10523.htm)Pakistan: Lawyers in Pakistan are investigating a report that up to 30 men tortured and gang-raped a young Christian man for refusing to convert to Islam. The victim was seriously injured and unable to move. However, according to the Center for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS) the police are keeping him locked up and have denied him medical treatment. The police are also refusing to register the rape following a counter-claim made by his principal attacker “a man of influence.”

North Korea, China, Vietnam, Laos, Cuba, Bangladesh, Sudan, Saudi Arabia: "There are considerable challenges ahead in the 21st century," states the Voice of the Martyrs website. "The countries newly liberated from communist oppression remain devastated from decades of terror. China, as well as North Korea, Vietnam, Laos and Cuba are caught in the mouth of a communist dragon. There are Muslim strongholds like Bangladesh, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Indonesia, Iran and Nigeria" according to Todd Nettleton, The Voice of the Martyrs' director of news services.
"We have big operations in China, Saudi Arabia, North Korea," he said. "When you talk about the worst offenders, Saudi Arabia and North Korea are the most closed nations for Christians to practice their faith."

Persecution of Christians in Sudan
There is an abundance of evidence since the early 1990s of oppression and persecution of Christians, including by Sudan's own Sudan Human Rights Organization, which in mid-1992 reported on forcible closure of churches, expulsion of priests, forced displacement of populations, forced Islamisation and Arabisation, and other repressive measures of the Government. In 1994 it also reported on widespread torture, ethnic cleansing and crucifixion of pastors. Pax Christi has also reported on detailed cases in 1994, as has Africa Watch. Roman Catholic bishop Macram Max Gassis, Bishop of El Obeid, also reported to the Fiftieth Session of the UN Commission on Human Rights, in Geneva, in February 1994 on accounts of widespread destruction of hundreds of churches, forced conversions of Christians to Islam, concentration camps, genocide of the Nuba people, systematic rape of women, enslavement of children, torture of priests and clerics, burning alive of pastors and catechists, crucifixion and mutilation of priests. The foregoing therefore serve to indict the Sudanese Government itself for flagrant violations of human rights and religious freedom.
In addition, it is estimated that over 1.5 million Christians have been killed by the Janjaweed, the Arab Muslim militia, and even suspected Islamists in northern Sudan since 1984.[2]
It should also be noted that Sudan's several civil wars (which often take the form of genocidal campaigns) are often not only religious in nature, but also ethnic, as many black Muslims, as well as Muslim Arab tribesmen, have also been killed in the conflicts.
It is estimated that as many as 200,000 people had been taken into slavery during the Second Sudanese Civil War. The slaves are mostly Dinka people.
U.S. and Allies Torture of Germans
The U.S. Government tortured innocent German civilians after World War II, under our Jewish President Dwight Eisenhower (Eisenhaur).
“The most riveting account of post-war retribution was a Soviet-inspired genocide documented in a 1993 book titled "An Eye for an Eye: The Untold Story of Jewish Revenge Against Germans in 1945" by John Sack. Soon after occupying Poland and East Germany, the Soviets established the Office of State Security and deliberately recruited Holocaust survivors, primarily Jews, to “de-Nazify” some 10 million Germans residing in the area. Office personnel rounded up German men, women and children, 99 percent of whom were innocent non-combatants, and trucked them to cellars, prisons and 1,255 concentration camps where between 60,000 and 80,000 perished as a result of torture, starvation and typhus. Tragically, the West was aware of these atrocities - they were referenced in the Congressional Record of August 2, 1945, and Mr. Churchill condemned them in the House of Commons on August 16 - but nothing was done. At the time, few people really cared what happened to Germans who, after all, (supposedly) had started World War II. (See the following link: http://www.goodnewsaboutgod.com/studies/political/jewsdeclarewar/jewsdeclarewar.htm)
John Sack, a Jew, spent seven years of research in Poland, Germany and Israel to write his 252-page book, which contains 65 pages of notes. He focused on the most brutal of the Jews, referring to them by their given names, Lola, Pinek, Shlomo, Moshe, etc. Most of them immigrated to America, Canada and Israel, where they prospered in various occupations. In 1993, for example, Lola was a California CEO of a large company worth millions. Moshe was in the construction business in Linden, N.J. All were interviewed extensively by Mr. Sacks.
Not surprisingly, the book was condemned by Jewish scholars who called it "an audacious lie," "vile docudrama" and "anti-Semitic fodder" even though it was thoroughly researched and written by a fellow Jew! In a 5,000-word onslaught that appeared in the New Republic, Daniel Goldhagen described the work as "widely out of focus," "not beneath resorting to outright fictionalization" and the result of "sheer inventions." In his controversial book "Hitler's Willing Executioners: Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust," Mr. Goldhagen later explained the Holocaust as the result of a "long-incubating, pervasive, virulent, racist, eliminationist, anti-Semitic German culture." National groups who aided the Germans in slaughtering Jews - primarily Ukrainians, Latvians and Lithuanians - Mr. Goldhagen continued, also "came from cultures that were profoundly anti-Semitic." Genocide against Jews, according to the new disputed "Goldhagen thesis," is the result of a long-nurtured ethno-national predisposition.
Following the uproar, Piper Verlag, a German publisher, abruptly canceled distribution of Mr. Sack's book and promised to recycle the 6,000 copies already printed in Germany because it could be "cause for some misunderstanding." Unbowed by the attacks, Mr. Sack believes he "had a moral duty" to write what he did.
A significant figure in Mr. Sack's book is Shlomo Morel, who ran an internment camp for German civilians in the Polish community of Schwientochlowitz. He lost his father, mother, brothers, uncles, aunts and all but one cousin during the Holocaust. He joined the Soviet-supported Jewish partisans and once the Soviets drove the Germans out of Poland, he became, at the age of 26, commandant of the camp. John Sacks describes the horrors experienced by the Germans at Shlomo's camp: "The guards put the Germans into a doghouse, beating them if they didn't say 'bow-wow.' They got the Germans to beat each other; to jump on each other's spines and to punch each other's spines and to punch each other's noses, and hit the Germans so hard that they once knocked a German's glass eye out. The guards raped the German women ... and trained their dogs to bite off the German men's genitals at the command of 'Sic.' And still 3,000 remained, and Shlomo hated them more ... hated them for not dying compliantly ... In time, three-fourths of the Germans at Shlomo's camp were dead ... and Shlomo still wasn't satisfied with his score."
Today, Shlomo Morel leads a comfortable life in Israel. In December, the Polish prosecutor's office in Katowice charged Shlomo with crimes against humanity and demanded that Israel extradite him to Poland. Israeli authorities refused, informing the Polish Ministry of Justice that his alleged crimes are not perceived as genocide in Israel and are therefore subject to the statute of limitations. Apparently, according to Israeli reasoning, killing innocent Jews for no reason is genocide. Killing innocent Germans for no reason is not.
Dr. Lubomyr Luciuk, research director of the Ukrainian Canadian Civil Liberties Association, has condemned Israel's double standard. "How can organizations like the Simon Wiesenthal Center, or B'Nai Brith, or the World Jewish Congress, who have together orchestrated such a concerted demand for bringing alleged Nazi war criminals to justice, now allow such rank hypocrisy in Israel to go unchallenged?" he asks. It's not a rhetorical question.” Faces and Places by Myron Kuropas
Persecution of Christians in the Soviet Union
After the Revolution of 1917, the Russian Bolsheviks, the vast majority of whom were Jews, undertook a massive program to remove the influence of the Russian Orthodox Church from the government and Russian society, and to make the state atheist. Thousands of churches were destroyed or converted to other uses, and many members of clergy were imprisoned for anti-government activities. An extensive education and propaganda campaign was undertaken to convince people, especially the children and youth, to abandon religious beliefs. The Communist persecution of the Church proved enormously successful. Within the span of one generation, the traditionally devout Russian people became overwhelmingly atheist. As such, it ranks as one of the greatest and the most successful persecutions Christianity had ever experienced, on par only with the destruction of Christianity in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia Minor by the Islamic and Turkish conquests.
Interestingly, the Bolsehviks who completely destroyed the Christian churches chose to preserve the Jewish synagogues.

The Persecution of Christians in Israel
Government and Religious authorities carry on a constant campaign of persecution against parents who send their children to Christian schools. This is an example of this campaign: The Grand Rabbinate supported this campaign by an appeal in which it denounced the misdeeds of the Christian Mission. According to Hatsofe newspaper December 2, 1953 the Grand rabbinate appeal states: “The Christian Missions open under the feet of Jewish children the precipice of assimilation and of change of religion. Those who by attending these schools let themselves be drawn to change their religion become the enemies of our national existence. We want this appeal to reach all in Israel. We proclaim a special week for action and for information. We launch an appeal to collect the necessary funds for the realization of this action.”
The newspaper Hatsofe supported the appeal by the Grand Rabbinate with an inflammatory racist remark.
“This action must be carried out with all possible vigor until the impurity is destroyed by fire from the face of the earth.”
Large placards were displayed in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and other cities stating: “Do you know that 2,000 children receive Christian education in Israel? Do you know that 400 preachers and Christians sent by 48 Christian missionary institutions were recruited for the new immigrants? Mr. Amos Eylon published an article in Ha’aretz on March 14, 1954 in which he stated:
“Government employees as well as those working in municipalities who send their children to Christian schools were obliged under threat of being fired to transfer their children to Jewish schools.”
A section was established in the Ministry of Religious Affairs for the object of fighting Christian missions. This section is sending spies into churches, monasteries, and Christian schools to detect who visit these Christian establishments and to take the names of all those who associate with, or send their children to Christian schools.

While solid numbers are difficult to ascertain, it has been estimated that as many as 160,000 Christians are martyred each year worldwide.
But this will never happen in America, will it?
Yes, it will! The same forces who control ALL these other countries, also control America. The Zionist Jewish/Illuminati/New World Order controls ALL of the countries (above) that are brutally torturing and murdering Christians. They are dedicated to destroying ALL religions (especially Christianity) and ALL governments. Their ultimate goal is the forced worship of the Adversary, Satan (who they address as Lucifer) by the whole world.
What is now happening in Third World countries will soon come upon American Christians.
New Sophisticated Technology for Torture
New technology has been developed by the Jewish Zionist/Illuminati/New World Order that allows them to put a person in a room, fully restrain him or her, then pipe in extremely loud sounds of screeching animals and humans being slaughtered, hook the person up to a virtual reality apparatus that induces feelings of the most vile torture to all parts of his or her body causing the person to writhe in pain, and then they apply electro-magnetic fields that destroy the person’s ability to think coherently, that induce mind control and overwhelming thoughts of suicide in the individual’s mind and can cause horrifically frightening hallucinations of being ripped apart by a wild animal, or being eaten alive by insects.
When will all this happen?
Torture of Christians is happening right now in many parts of the world, as documented above. Revelation, Chapter 6, speaks of the involvement of a fourth of the earth:
“And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hades followed with him. And authority was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword (beheading), and with hunger, and with death (epidemic diseases), and with the wild beasts of the earth.” Rev 6:8
Then, in Revelation, Chapter 8, the torture and destruction expands to include a third part of the earth.
“The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burn up, and all green grass was burnt up.
And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood:
And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died: and the third part of the ships were destroyed.”
And the third angel sounded and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the springs of water, (fresh water supplies)
And the name of the star is called Wormwood; and the third part of the waters became wormwood: and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the waters became wormwood (bitter and undrinkable); and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was struck, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day had no light for a third part of it, and the night likewise.” Rev. 8:7-12
The Bible tells us in Rev. 16 that the plagues will include the whole earth and soon after that occurs, Jesus will come back.
With the many countries shown above that are already torturing and murdering Christians, it is obvious that this persecution and torture involves at this time in earth’s history at least a fourth of the earth (Rev. 6), and possibly even a third of the earth (Rev 8). So we are very near the culmination of the prophecy of the whole earth being involved. The “whole earth” obviously includes the United States.
It is only a matter of time until these torture techniques will be used against American Christians.
The President of the U.S. and his Attorney General, controlled from behind the scenes by the Zionist Jews, have already endorsed torture in the prisons run by Americans at Abu Ghraib in Iraq, at the U.S. Naval Station in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in Afghanistan, and in other places around the world.
Americans torturing their enemies is not new!
Will Christians Go Through the Tribulation?
Most mainstream Christian seminaries, pastors, and church members are willfully ignorant of the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation regarding the Time of Trouble (Tribulation) and the coming severe persecution and murder of true Christians. They know nothing of the Signs of the Times. They believe that the Second Coming of Christ could as easily occur tomorrow as a hundred years from now. It is no concern to them because they believe they are saved, and they (ignorantly) have no concern about a Time of Trouble of which they have never read, heard, or been taught by their naïve and unenlightened Church leaders.
Lutherans, in particular, are told that the book of Revelation should not even be in the Bible, so it should not even be studied because it cannot be understood. Because Martin Luther said - and believed that, Lutherans have accepted Martin Luther’s word as truth instead of believing God.
On the other hand, the Evangelical Christians do study Revelation at least superficially but they interpret it literally, with their five senses, because they don’t understand spiritual things. (1 Corinthians 2:14) They believe incorrectly that the Tribulation will last for a period of seven years. But it has only passing interest for them because they believe they will be in heaven during that time “having a party” having been Secretly Raptured before the Tribulation has begun.
Satan’s deception - the “Secret Rapture” has infiltrated a large segment of Christianity worldwide. Because Christians are uncomfortable with the possibility of these horrors of the coming time of trouble, they are ripe for the propaganda of their pastors who tell them they won’t have to go through it. They have been deluded into believing that they will all be spirited off to heaven in the “Secret Rapture,” while others on earth are enduring great suffering!
There is no better way to produce weak “Christians.” They will be shocked by the persecution and totally unprepared for it. At the first difficulty, they will fall like a rock and embrace the side of the enemy. Their faith will be so puny that they will be putty in the hands of the Zionist Jewish/ Illuminati/New World Order.
In an interview with a Christian journalist, Harold Rosenthal, a Jew and assistant to then-Senator Jacob Javits of New York, said this:
"We Jews continue to be amazed with the ease by which Christian Americans have fallen into our hands. While the naive Americans wait for Khrushchev to bury them, we have taught them to submit to our every command." (This submission has been made possible by the gradual adoption of Talmudic concepts as being Christian, thus producing a Jewish society. It is what Rabbi Martin Siegel called, "the Judaization of Christianity.") From the booklet, Hidden Tyranny, by Walter White, Jr.
Since God is in Charge of Everything Why Must We Go Through a “Time of Trouble”?
Non-Christians don’t believe God exists. Or if they do believe God exists, they don’t care, or don’t believe that they need Him to run their life. On the other hand, Christians, DO believe that God exists. And they also believe that they trust God, meaning they believe that they have “faith” in God.
But “faith” must be tested.
Peter also believed in God. He was emphatic that he was willing to die for Jesus. But Peter’s “faith” in Jesus had to be tested and when it was Peter realized that he failed miserably.
Our belief (faith) in God must also be tested, and it will be severely tested by a Time of Trouble worse than has ever happened since the Flood.
Are we able to trust God with our life, to stand up for our belief in Jesus Christ, when someone has put a gun to our head?
Are we able to trust God with the lives of our spouse and children, when someone has a gun to their head, threatening to shoot them in front of our eyes, if we refuse to give up our belief in Jesus Christ?
Are we able to trust God when we are told that we, and our children, will have NO food to eat, unless we give up our belief in Jesus Christ?
Are we able to trust God when our house is confiscated and we are thrown out on the street with no place to go, because we refuse to give up our belief in Jesus Christ?
Are we able to trust God when we or our children are threatened with torture, rape, and death, unless we give up our belief in Jesus Christ?
The only way we will know if we really trust God is if we are severely tested.
The Bible tell us:
“For He (God) is like a refiner’s fire and like a laundry man’s soap, and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver . . . and He shall refine them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness (right-doing). Malachi 3:2,3
God refines us through the trials and tribulations we encounter. If you deny Christ in order to have food, or to save your child’s life, your spouse’s life, or your own life, then you have immediately made a pact with the devil and you are no longer under the direction of God. You must realize that God loves your children more than you do and that eventually, “All things work together for GOOD, to them that love God.”
We just need to have the LONG view all the way down to the consummation when God eventually will make everything right. (Please see “Is God a Killer God? What Happens at the Judgment? At www.goodnewsaboutgod.com)
The Great White Throne judgment mentioned in Revelation is not to annihilate those who don’t love God it is to allow them to “reap what they have sown” but NOT to their eternal destruction. They will finally understand that they are unable to run their own life, and will have no place to turn except to Jesus Christ.
The “Judgment” is designed to turn people back to right-doing.
“But judgment shall return unto righteousness (right-doing). . .” Psalm 94:15
Judgment turns a person back to right-doing AFTER he has reaped what he has sown.
“. . . for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness (right-doing). Isaiah 26:9
They will learn to do RIGHT. They will NOT be annihilated! God truly is a loving God and He always has the best interest of ALL His children at heart the one who love Him and the ones who (right now) don’t.
If a person denies Christ the first time, it is easier to do it again and again.
But if you fail the test the first time, you will be tested on that same issue again, and it will be even harder the second time or third time.
Learning to trust God with our life and the lives of our children does not come in a moment. It must be developed and nurtured over a long period of time by daily Bible study and prayer, by learning to know God in a very personal way, by trusting Him to make every decision in our life when we are NOT in crisis, by having the life of Christ in us, by becoming a totally New Creature in Christ.
Becoming a New Creature in Christ can only happen through “destruction.” Our “old man of sin” must be destroyed, so God can make us a New Creature in Christ.
The “Christian” Church talks a great deal about the Destruction of the Wicked in Hellfire. "Destruction" is a key term in the Bible used to support the teaching of either annihilation of the wicked or hell fire for eternity or "burning as long as one deserves." The term "destruction" leads to many differences of opinion. But most of the conclusions are not Scripturally based.
In the Bible, the word most frequently translated as “destruction” is the Greek word apollumi.
In order to understand exactly what the Lord is trying to teach us, we must understand the exact words that were inspired. The Bible was NOT written in English. It was written in Hebrew and Greek. We must look to the original language, the original words that God inspired, and let the Bible interpret itself. If we don't, then we are taking the words of man, a translation by committee consensus, as our guide rather than the Divine Word of God.
The proper definition of each word in the Greek is revealed when that specific word, such as apollumi, means the same thing each time it is used. Because the word apollumi is used to define a state of "having life" (the sheep was "lost" but alive - not dead), the word CANNOT also be used to define a state that is the OPPOSITE of life DEATH which is what the theologians would have us believe is meant in Romans 2:12 and 2 Peter 2:12, as shown above.
In other words, one specific word CANNOT mean both a state of life AND a state of death! It is obvious from these many uses of the word apollumi, that it CANNOT mean "to deprive of life.” Clearly the Bible translators translated these passages according to their own preconceived theological beliefs.
Christians have assumed that the word "destroy" (apollumi in Greek) in Matthew 2:13 must mean "to deprive of life," but that definition has no support Biblically. There are Greek words that mean "to deprive of life." They are 1) apokteinco, which means "to kill;" 2) sphazoo, slay; 3) anaireoco, assassinate or massacre; or 4) phoneuco, which means murder. Apollumi is often used for things that have no life, such as wine skin bottles (Matthew 9:17, Mark 2:22 and Luke 5:37). These bottles do not "die" when they are "destroyed."
The woman looked for the coin that was “lost” (apollumi), NOT destroyed. (Luke 15:8-10) The woman found the coin. But the coin never had life so it could not be “deprived of life.” It was just “lost” waiting to be found.
A reward is not "mortal." See Matthew 10:42 and Mark 9:41 "Verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose (apollumi) his reward." And gold and money do not "die." In fact, they never had life. See Luke 15:8 and 1 Peter 1:7 "That the trial of your faith, being more precious than of gold that perisheth (apollumi)" The words that actually do mean "to deprive of life" could not be used in these passages. Neither the primary nor the secondary nor the tertiary, nor any other meaning of destroy demands that life be taken.
Apollumi is often used to describe something that either remains alive or has never had life. If the lost (destroyed?) sheep (Luke 15:4) had been "deprived of life," the shepherd would not have rejoiced when he found his carcass.
A word whose primary meaning is "to deprive of life" cannot have a secondary meaning of "continued life." “Death” cannot be just another form of “life.” White is not another word for black. And life in any form is not expressed by a word that means death. Jesus said, "He who is finding his soul will be destroying (losing) it, and he who destroys (loses) his soul on my account will be finding it" (Matthew 10:39, Mark 8:35, Luke 9:24, Luke 17:33). Is Jesus urging them to commit suicide?
The destruction of the “soul” does not mean death. It means to disassemble or destroy the old man of sin, to destroy our carnal nature, to make us into a New Creation in Christ.
Romans 6:6 describes this process.
"Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin."
The statement that the "Son of Man came to seek and to save that which is lost" (Luke 19:10) is the key to the meaning of apollumi. This Bible passage refers specifically to Zacchaeus, who was “lost” (often translated “destroyed”). But precisely BECAUS he was lost (destroyed?), he was ready to be found and saved.
The Greek word apollumi is often given an interpretation that means death from which there is no resurrection, or annihilation, a state from which salvation is impossible. But this passage in Luke 19:10 destroys this premise. Instead of the lost being beyond salvation, they alone are eligible for salvation! It is impossible to rescue a man who is already safe. It is only when he is in a "lost" condition denoted by the word apollumi that salvation can operate in his behalf.
The terms seek and save mean the opposite of destroy. So the one who is "destroyed," is really just lost, not annihilated, or no one would seek after him in order to save him. He must be in a state that needs salvation or Christ would not have come to seek and to save him. This passage proves beyond a doubt that "destruction" is a salvageable condition, not a state beyond the reach of salvation.
In addition, please notice that only the "lost" are saved. This fact reverses the usual idea of destruction. God seeks what He has lost! (All in All, A. E. Knoch)
Destruction is a relative term. The coin was lost (apollumi) in relation to the woman. The sheep was lost (apollumi) in relation to the shepherd. The prodigal son was lost (apollumi) in relation to his father. They were not dead, but they were away from the woman, the shepherd, and the father, respectively. Does this prove that they were outside the sphere of salvation? No, it actually proves the opposite. “Destruction” is the prelude to salvation! Destruction never means annihilation, irrespective of how closely it may seem to approach that idea in some cases.
Men are “lost” by God. It was He who created them. So He will be the great Loser if they are not saved. A sinner can never cross a line that brings him beyond the reach of God. Remember that Paul says.
"I am persuaded that neither death (whether the first or the second death) nor life nor principalities nor powers nor any creature (including Satan) can separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus."
Romans 8:38,39
If we lose something, it becomes more valuable to us than when we had it. If one loses his eyesight, vision assumes an importance and value that the individual never before perceived. Its loss, instead of distancing us from it, actually increases our attachment to it. This becomes tragically true when we lose a loved one. We then realize the preciousness of our lost possession. So we should never assume that God is not concerned about those that are "lost." Nor should we assume that He will sit complacently while they rush on to eternal annihilation because He's helpless to turn them around. There are a million ways God is able to accomplish His will.
God is love and ALL of His creatures are precious to Him. God loves all of us. But whom does He say that he loves? God loves the world and sinners and His enemies and those who are lost. It takes "destruction" by trials and tribulations for us to feel our need for Christ to run our life, and it takes "destruction" to flood us with God's Divine love.
Because men are unable to accomplish all that they wish, they imagine that God also is unable to save the vast majority of humanity. This basic error has so warped the minds of men that they have corrupted the Scriptures to uphold it. All man knows how to do is to kill something that he cannot control, such as a hardened criminal. Is this God's way of handling the situation? God says,
"I'm not like You, My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:9).
Christ proclaimed Himself as the Resurrection and the Life. How could the God of the Universe give up on and lose that which is the desire of His heart, those for whom He gave the life of His Son? Theologians have made a little man out of a great God. Where man is impotent, man imagines that God is also impotent. Where man is unable to succeed, man imagines that God is also unable to succeed.
Ephesians 1:11 says God is operating the universe "in accord with the counsel of His own will." And HIS will is that “NONE should perish, but ALL should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) We must recognize that destruction is a Divine process and a necessary part of the plan of salvation. Let us look at a few texts. Psalms 90:3, says
"Thou (God) turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men."
How can human beings return to God if they have been "destroyed," particularly if the term means annihilation?
In 1 Corinthians 5:5 Paul says,
he is delivering "such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit (literal translation breath) may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus."
One is "saved" by the process of "destruction," by destroying the old man of sin. And in 1 Timothy 1:20, Paul is charging Timothy to hold the faith and a good conscience rather than imitating those who have made a shipwreck of their faith, "Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme."
Giving someone over to Satan is for remedial purposes, so they can learn to do right, not so they can be annihilated. Everyone who receives salvation was once lost, "destroyed." Not only was "being lost" no hindrance to their deliverance but it was absolutely essential to it. God has lost them and then through Christ, He found and saved them. God has definitely declared that He is the "Saviour of ALL mankind" (1 Timothy 2:4 and 1 Timothy 4:10).
Though the sinner be lost a thousand times, he is not beyond the reach of the Great Seeker. Notice that the shepherd searches for the sheep, not for any specific finite period of time, but until he found it! The same is true of the woman who lost the coin. She searched until she found it. Jesus came to "destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8) not His own works! We are God's creation, we are NOT the work of the devil. The "devil's work" is the sin in our lives. Jesus came to 1) DESTROY the sin in our lives, but 2) to SAVE the sinner!
The story of the Potter (Jeremiah 18:1-7) reveals that it is the Potter Himself (representing Jesus Christ) who crushes the vessel when He discovers it is marred. The Potter then makes it over into a perfect vessel. But the vessel never leaves the Potter's hands during its "destruction" and re-creation into a New Creature in Christ. God holds us in His hand during ALL the time we are going through trouble “destruction.” And God does not “destroy” anything that He cannot completely restore.
"Destruction" is a passing process, not a finished goal. The old sinful nature is “destroyed” as a prelude to the formation of a New Creature in Christ. Remember God says, "Behold I make ALL new.” (Revelation 21:5)
Trials and tribulations “destroy” us. They destroy our confidence in ourselves, in our own decision-making, in other human beings, in our trust in our government, in our trust in doctors, in our trust in “man’s” ways.
Christians have been taught that the “destruction” spoken of in the Bible is permanent burning or annihilation. But God’s interpretation of “destruction” is very different. His “destruction” is always remedial. He must “destroy” us in order for us to:
1) recognize our need for HIM to run our life in every aspect
2) become sanctified (be made holy) by Christ putting his character - His life - in us what the Bible terms eonian life mistranslated as “eternal” life.
3) become a New Creature in Christ.
Then we have truly been “born from above” (born again). We no longer want to sin. We may fail now and then but our inclination and desire to sin is gone.
This change occurs progressively, not instantaneously, as we get to know God more personally, and begin to understand things from God’s point of view. Eventually, God will allow us to see, as we look back on our life, what He was accomplishing through our trouble. God may work on only one area of our life at a time, until we trust God totally in that area, such as:
Financial we learn that He really will take care of us just as He has promised IF we learn to TRUST Him;
Health we learn that He really does “heal ALL our diseases,” (Psalm 103:3) but only IF we follow HIS ways and not “man’s” (the doctors’) ways. (Deut 7:11-15)
Relationships we learn that God can heal EVERY relationship if both parties are willing to follow God’s direction. And if the relationship is irrevocably broken because one of the two will not follow God’s ways, God will carry us through the trial.
Understanding the Bible - God will open our mind so we can understand spiritual things (1 Cor 2:14). He will “show us great and mighty things that we do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).
Understanding the Events taking place now in the world and events in the future. God will open our eyes so we can understand the events prophesied in the books of Daniel, Revelation, and in Matthew 24.
Lack of fear of the future - God tells us repeatedly to “Fear not.” But how can we do that with all the frightening things that are prophesied?
The Bible tells us,
God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God in him.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:17,18
When we truly fall in love with Jesus Christ, when we truly trust Christ with our own life and the lives of our children, when we truly understand that He will walk through the valley of the shadow of death with us, when we truly believe that God will supply all our needs, when we truly believe that we can lie down at night in peace no matter where we are or what is happening around us, when we understand that God loves our children more than we do and that He would never allow anything to happen to them or us that is not for our eventual, long-term best, then we can say:
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. . . Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for Thou art with me. Psalm 23:1,4
The Time of Trouble is necessary to test us to see if we are really ready to stand for Christ, no matter what the cost. God is not interested in random violence. He will only allow us to go through the specific trials and tribulations that are absolutely necessary to purify us spiritually and make us One with Him. He will not allow us to go through one moment more than is necessary to accomplish that goal.
The only way we are safe to save safe to live with Jesus for eternity is if we have the character of Jesus in us, if He has put HIS life in us. That is defined as “eonian life” the life of Christ in us. This phrase in the Greek is consistently mistranslated by the Bible translators as “eternal life.”
But “eternal life” (living forever) is NOT possible until we have “eonian life” (the life of Christ in us) until we have been changed into the image of Jesus Christ. This does not occur in an instant. It is the result of diligent daily Bible study and prayer over a long period of time, of learning to know the Lord as our Personal friend, as our heavenly Father, and as our Savior, to know Him so well that we fall in love with Him - spiritually. He must become the Center of everything in our life.
If everyone has not been completely changed by Jesus’ leading us through the trials and tribulations necessary to build our character, purity, and perseverance, If we have not learned to LOVE our enemies, to do GOOD to those who hate us, to FORGIVE everyone who has ever wronged us, as Jesus says we must, then heaven and the New Earth would be just like this earth filled with selfish, self-centered, deceitful, wretched people.
But as we go through all of our troubles, Jesus will never leave our side. He promises:
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)
The Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt
When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, through the wilderness and into the Promised Land, the trip was real it actually occurred. But it was also symbolic of God bringing us out of sin (Egypt the Bible is symbolic for sin), the long walk through the wilderness of our life, and eventually making us one with Him, so He can bring us to the “Promised Land” heaven and the New Earth.
God tells us in Hebrews, Chapters 3 and 4, especially Hebrews 4:11, that this trek through the wilderness by the Israelites was to be an example for us an example of how we should NOT behave.
The Israelites were constantly griping and complaining to Moses about their fears, their lack of water, the food (manna from heaven! no less) that they hated, and their desire to return to Egypt (symbolic for sin). They said Moses (and, therefore, God) had brought them out into the wilderness to DIE! They didn’t believe that God could protect them from every hazard, and provide everything they needed, no matter where they were.
God specifically took them to the desert for FORTY YEARS where nothing could be grown for food, where there was no water, where there was no place to get new clothes or new shoes, where there was scorching heat in the daytime and freezing cold during the nights, where they could not provide ANYTHING for themselves.
Yet, for those forty years,
1) their clothes and shoes never wore out (Deut 29:5),
2) they had the most perfect vegan vegetarian diet manna that fell directly from heaven (Ex 6:15,31-35; Deut 8:3) and represented Jesus Christ the true Bread from Heaven,
3) God brought water from a ROCK - that represented Jesus Christ.
(Exodus 17:6),4) God gave them a cloud cover during the day Natural Air Conditioning and safety from the burning sun,
5) a pillar of fire by night Natural Heating to keep them warm,
6) God personally led them through the wilderness, one day at a time. They had to look UP to Jesus Christ daily, every moment of every day, to see if they should stay where they were or move on. And they had no idea where God would lead them. They just has to follow the cloud one day at a time.
7) There was NO “church.” The Sanctuary (tabernacle) that was in the midst of the Israelites’ camp in the wilderness was only 15 feet wide and 45 feet long, and only the priests were allowed inside. The congregation was NOT allowed inside the Sanctuary, nor were they allowed inside the outer courtyard, which was also small - 75 feet wide and 150 feet long.
The Israelites did NOT “go to church.” It is estimated that there were approximately one million Israelites (or more) in the wilderness. Not only was the sanctuary TOO SMALL for that crowd, but by God’s direct order NO ONE but the priests were allowed inside the Sanctuary or even into the outer Courtyard.
ALL, except the Priests, were strictly prohibited by God from entering!
It was God’s explicit Plan that there was to be NO “church” to attend for those forty years in the wilderness. Nor did God EVER want a “church” for the congregation to attend then or now! Christianity is NOT a religion nor a church nor a denomination nor a hierarchy. It is nothing more, or less, than a close, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Temple in Jerusalem had the same dimensions as the Sanctuary in the wilderness. The only difference is that it was a permanent building, not a moveable tent. And no one, other than the Priests, were allowed inside.
It was not until the end of the Old Testament period, and before the beginning of the New Testament period, that the Pharisees the enemies of Christ set up the system of synagogues, where people came in and sat down, listened to the rantings of the Priests and Pharisees, and went through a religious ritual, and called it - - - “religion.” There, in those synagogues, was nurtured the wicked, anti-Christ, “Traditions of the Elders” that Jesus strongly rebuked the abominable heresies that later, after they murdered Jesus Christ, were written down by the Pharisees, and named the Talmud the antithesis of Christianity which became the basis for, and the “holiest” book of, present-day Judaism!
For four thousand years of earth’s history, there were NO “church” services for the congregation to attend.
A priest went into the “Holy Place” each day, but only the High Priest could go into the Most Holy Place, and only once a year. The Courtyard around the Sanctuary was 150 ft. long and 75 ft wide, again far too small for a congregation of one million, or even one-tenth that size, to enter. In addition, as mentioned above, God prohibited anyone except the Priests, from entering.
The Blueprints, and the directions for the building of, the Sanctuary were right from God’s mouth. It was to be a physical representation of God’s Plan of Salvation, a Kindergarten sand-box illustration of God’s Plan made in a way that the Israelites, who had been slaves for 400 years, could (hopefully) understand.
During the Forty Years in the Wilderness, God provided EVERYTHING for the Israelites, yet they murmured and complained so bitterly that God repeatedly refers to that period of time as “The Rebellion.”
The Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt is an illustration for us of God’s loving care for even those who are rebelling against Him. However, the rebellious all died in the wilderness, and none entered the Promised Land. Only the faithful went directly in.
But those rebellious Israelites will be resurrected for the Great White Throne Judgment, where they will “reap what they have sown” and finally realize that Jesus Christ is their Savior and Lord.
In the time of trouble, God has promised that our bread and water will be sure. He will provide for us just as He provided everything for the Israelites in the wilderness. All we have to do is learn NOT to murmur and complain. And we must learn to truly trust in the Almighty power of Jesus Christ and His promise that He will “never leave us nor forsake us.”
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8
Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3
“Perseverance is more than endurance. It is endurance combined with absolute assurance and certainty that what we are looking for is going to happen. Perseverance means more than just hanging on, which may be only exposing our fear of letting go and falling. Perseverance is our supreme effort of refusing to believe that our Hero is going to be conquered. Our greatest fear is not that we will be damned, but that somehow Jesus Christ will be defeated.
Also, our fear is that the very things our Lord stood for love, justice, forgiveness, and kindness among men will not win out in the end.
One of the greatest stresses in life is the stress of waiting for God. But He brings fulfillment, “because you have kept My command to persevere.” (Rev. 3:10My Utmost for His Highest, by Oswald Chambers, February 22.
So, What do we do and Where do we go?
The ONLY safe place to hide is in Jesus Christ!
