Does God Exist?   Prove It!

The world is becoming a pagan planet.  The United Kingdom, long thought to be a Christian nation, now only gives “lip service” to Christianity.  The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams, the highest authority in the Church of England, is a Druid, and sees no conflict in this fact, even though the Druids are pagans and have historically been associated with human sacrifice and cannibalism.

The United States, also considered to be a Christian nation, knows almost nothing about the Bible or Christianity, except what it learns about Christ and Christianity from the heinous movies made in Jewish Hollywood, movies that depict Jesus as a homosexual, a clown, a hippy, a super-hero in spandex pants, and movies that distort and degenerate the crucifixion of Christ as another typical Hollywood blood and guts, gore-fest.

The following article by Dr. Michael Vlach explains the problem in America.

Crisis in America’s Churches:

Bible Knowledge at All-Time Low

by Michael J. Vlach, Ph.D.

TheologicalStudies.org

A crisis of basic biblical and theological knowledge exists in America’s churches, and church leaders must do all they can to address this growing problem, so say experts monitoring the beliefs of people in Christian churches across the United States.

“The Christian body in America is immersed in a crisis of biblical illiteracy,” warns researcher George Barna. “How else can you describe matters when most churchgoing adults reject the accuracy of the Bible, reject the existence of Satan, claim that Jesus sinned, see no need to evangelize, believe that good works are one of the keys to persuading God to forgive their sins, and describe their commitment to Christianity as moderate or even less firm?”[1]

Other disturbing findings that document an overall lack of knowledge among churchgoing Christians include the following:

The most widely known Bible verse among adult and teen believers is “God helps those who help themselves”—which is not actually in the Bible and actually conflicts with the basic message of Scripture.
•  Less than one out of every ten believers possess a biblical worldview as the basis for his or her decision-making or behavior.
•  When given thirteen basic teachings from the Bible, only 1% of adult believers firmly embraced all thirteen as being biblical perspectives.[2] Gary Burge, professor of New Testament at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, asserts that biblical illiteracy is at a crisis level not just in our culture in general but in America’s churches.  “If it is true that biblical illiteracy is commonplace in secular culture at large, there is ample evidence that points to similar trends in our churches,” he says.[3]

Burge points to research at Wheaton College in which the biblical and theological literacy of incoming freshmen have been monitored. These students, who represent almost every Protestant denomination in the United States from every state in the country, have returned some “surprising results”:

One-third could not put the following in order: Abraham, the Old Testament prophets, the death of Christ, and Pentecost.   Half could not sequence the following: Moses in Egypt, Isaac’s birth, Saul’s death, and Judah’s exile.   One-third could not identify Matthew as an apostle from a list of New Testament names.   When asked to locate the biblical book supplying a given story, one-third could not find Paul’s travels in Acts, half did not know that the Christmas story was in Matthew, half did not know that the Passover story was in Exodus.[4]

Like Burge, George Lindbeck, the famous Yale theologian, has commented on the decreasing knowledge of Scripture from a professor’s perspective.  “When I first arrived at Yale, even those who came from nonreligious backgrounds knew the Bible better than most of those now who come from churchgoing families,” he says.[5]  This is also the view of theologian and author David Wells.  “I have watched with growing disbelief as the evangelical church has cheerfully plunged into astounding theological illiteracy,” declares Wells in his book No Place for Truth.[6]

Biblical illiteracy is not just a problem for American churches. A scientific survey called PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) tested the knowledge of people in thirty-two industrialized countries. The results of the study show an “insidious biblical illiteracy” even in Christian circles, says Volker Gaeckle, dean of studies at Albrecht Bengel Center in Tuebingen. “Churches should heed the PISA warning that text comprehension is a major problem.” [7]

Theological Illiteracy in Christian Denominations

Barna has gone to the heart of the matter by researching the beliefs of churchgoing denominational members in America. The results are shocking—a profound lack of belief in essential Christian doctrines.

In his study of the beliefs of mainline Protestants (including Methodists, Lutherans, Presbyterians, and Episcopalians), Barna documented a rejection of key Christian doctrines. Only 35% of mainline Protestant church members believe Christ was sinless; 34% believe the Bible is totally accurate; 27% agree that works don’t earn heaven; and 20% believe Satan is real.[8]

Denominations which are more evangelical report higher levels of commitment to key theological truths than their mainline counterparts, but large percentages of people in these more theologically conservative churches still deny essential Christian doctrines.  Of Baptists (any type) in America, only 34% believe Satan is real. Only 43% believe that works don’t earn heaven.  Although most Baptists affirm that Christ was sinless and that the Bible is totally accurate, the majority is not strong. Only 55% affirm that Christ was sinless, and 66% hold that the Bible is totally accurate.[9]

Of nondenominational Christian churches, Barna reports that 48% believe Satan is real; 60% say works don’t earn heaven; 63% affirm the sinlessness of Christ; and 70% believe the Bible is totally accurate.[10]

According to Barna, the denomination with the highest commitment to essential Christian doctrines is the Assembly of God denomination. In the AOG, 77% believe the Bible is accurate; 70% believe Christ was sinless. Yet only two-thirds (64%) affirm that works don’t earn heaven. Only 56% believe Satan is real. So even in the most theologically committed denomination, large percentages of people still deny essential Christian doctrines.[11]

Barna is particularly concerned with the number of people in Christian churches who deny one of the most essential of all Christian doctrines—the sinlessness of Christ.  “Literally millions of Americans who declare themselves to be Christians contend that Jesus was just like the rest of us when it comes to temptation—fallen, guilty, impure, and Himself in need of a savior.”[12]

Whatever Happened to Theology?

Why is belief in important Christian truths and doctrines at such a crisis level?  First, as Burge has explained, there is a general failing of the church to transmit our religious culture to the next generation. This includes an overemphasis on personal experience to the exclusion of serious Christian education.   “In short, the spiritual life has become less a matter of learning than it is a matter of experiencing,” he says. “This has resulted in Christian ministries that put less premium on education than they do on personal development and therapeutic wholeness.”[13]

This emphasis on personal development has affected what is coming from our pulpits, according to Burge.  “Thus sermons become more therapeutic and less instructional; and the validity of what we do on Sunday morning is grounded in what we feel, not in what we think.”[14]   Second, many Christian churches have abandoned serious Bible exposition and theological teaching. Burge points out that historical exegesis is becoming a “lost art” in the pulpit.  “Rather than explaining the historical setting of a passage, texts become springboards for devotional reflection,” he notes. “Biblical passages are taken out of context as the preacher searches for those stories that evoke the responses or attitudes desired.” As a result, “The heart of a ‘good’ sermon is fast becoming the ‘emotional work’ that can be done in 20 minutes preaching time.” [15]

Burge also found that church leaders often find it difficult to find time for serious discussion of theology and the Bible. When asking several youth leaders about whether they addressed solid theological categories or Bible stories, the typical response according to Burge was, “It is hard to find time. But I can say that these kids are truly learning to love God.”[16] Burge sees this attitude as part of the problem.   “That is it in a nutshell,” he says. “Christian faith is not being built on the firm foundation of hard-won thoughts, ideas, history, or theology. Spirituality is being built on private emotional attachments.”[17]

A third reason for biblical and theological illiteracy today is the tremendous influence unbiblical philosophies and worldviews are having on churchgoers. Liberalism promotes that the Bible is a human construct and not a divine document. In doing so, it continues to assail the traditional Christian views of the inerrancy of the Bible, deity of Christ, reality of Satan, substitutionary atonement, and other key doctrines of the Christian faith. Existentialism and its emphasis on human experience has people looking to themselves, not God or Scripture, for truth. Postmodernism has convinced many that there are no universal truths. According to Barna, “A minority of adult and teen believers contends that absolute moral truth exists.”[18] Only 32% of born-again Christians still believe in the existence of absolute moral truth.

Many Christians accept elements of these unbiblical worldviews without even knowing it. Because of this, Barna and Mark Hatch have noted that “we cannot really call the faith of American Christians a Bible-based faith. It is a synthetic, syncretic faith.”[19] According to Barna and Hatch, Christians today have accepted and combined so many ideas from other worldviews and religions that they have created their own faith system.   “The average born-again, baptized, churchgoing person has embraced elements of Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, Mormonism, Scientology, Unitarianism and Christian Science—without any idea they have just created their own faith.”[20]

What Is the Solution?

“In many ways, we are living in an age of theological anarchy,” says Barna. “The church is rotting from the inside out, crippled by unbiblical theology.”[21] But what can church leaders do about this crisis?  Experts who have addressed the crisis have suggested five solutions.  First, church leaders need to be aware of the crisis. “Let’s acknowledge that we are in a state of spiritual anarchy,” says Barna.[22] Only by being alert to the problem can church leaders seriously address the problem. Sadly, Barna has reported a less than positive response by church leaders with whom he has shared his information.  When I first conveyed this message [about theological syncretism - the attempted reconciliation of opposing principles - among church members], most church leaders smiled and shook their heads, rejecting the possibility that such silliness would occur on their watch.”[23]

Second, pastors and church leaders need to evaluate what their people know and believe. Whether through personal interaction with the flock or through more formal means of evaluation such as doctrinal questionnaires, church leaders need to find out what their people know and believe. A questionnaire about the basics of Bible and theology given to the people would reveal important information. Churches need to ask questions such as, “Do you believe Jesus lived a sinless life?” or “Do you believe Satan is a real person?” It can no longer be assumed that the people in the pews “know the basics.” Many do not.

The results of such questionnaires and personal contacts will reveal to church leaders where weaknesses in their congregations exist. These findings may also help identify people who reject or do not comprehend enough essential Christian doctrine in order to be a Christian. Fruitful evangelism, then, may result from such evaluations.

Burge, who himself has created a simple 25-question test, believes such a method will give “unparalleled insight” to church leaders and will be helpful to the people. “It is like taking a treadmill test and then talking about your fitness plan,” he says.[24]

Third, church leaders must use powerful ways to instruct their people in the truth. “It may well be, too, that to usher in an era of theological sanity we will have to adopt new approaches to educating people about God’s Word and new tools to facilitate growth,” says Barna. This includes a well-planned systematic approach to biblical truth.  “Rather than giving people disjointed morsels of spiritual truth each week, we must have a systematic method of enabling people to buy into a biblical worldview that transforms their life.”[25]

This systematic approach to teaching truth must start with the pulpit. In his book, Where Is Theology Going?, Millard Erickson notes that decreasing literacy among people has probably influenced many preachers in the direction of including less biblical content in their messages.[26] The opposite must become the case. The lack of biblical literacy today makes systematic Bible teaching from the pulpit even more necessary. Perhaps more pastors should emulate the Swiss Reformer Ulrich Zwingli who forsook the common preaching methods of his day to systematically teach the Bible verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, and book-by-book, paying attention to the historical and grammatical contexts of the passages he was expounding.

The time has also come for pastors and church leaders to address essential Christian doctrines from the pulpit. If Barna is correct that millions of people in Christian churches, even conservative evangelical churches, do not believe Jesus was sinless, then the time has also come for church leaders to address the doctrine of the person of Christ and other doctrines from the pulpits.

Church members should also be introduced to basic courses in Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Basic Christian Doctrines, and How to Study the Bible. These courses are required at most seminaries and viewed as vital to the ministry of those who attend seminaries. Yet, this basic understanding of Bible, theology, and hermeneutics is often not transmitted to the people in the pews. There is a large gap between the important truths taught in seminaries and what is being taught in our churches. The time has come for these basic truths to be conveyed to all of God’s people.

Teaching solid doctrine, though, must not stop at the classroom level. Dr. Brant Pelphrey in his article, “Learning the Language of God: Overcoming Theological Literacy,” suggests that teachers must get involved in the lives of the learners.  “Americans will have a better chance of becoming theologically literate when we replace the paradigm of theological study as intellectual exercise, with that of the worshipping community in which students and mentors work together,” he says.[27]

Fourth, church leaders, including pastors, must alert their members to the unbiblical worldviews and philosophies that have crept into the church. False teachings have subtly infiltrated our churches, and church leaders must combat these destructive errors and heresies. This will require not only a clear presentation of Christianity but also a specific description of how Christianity differs from the liberal, existential, and postmodern views that are being promoted today.

Finally, we must encourage diligent and gifted teachers in the church. As Burge states, “We need to identify young men and women in the church who have gifts of teaching and intellect and encourage them to pursue their gifts.” As we esteem the gift of teaching and those who teach well, we will “help bring about the rebirth of biblical literacy and informed faith in North America.”[28]

Long-Term Effort

Experts do not expect the trend toward biblical illiteracy in churches to change. This does not alter, though, the responsibility of church leaders to do all they can to reverse this dangerous trend. The church is called to be the “pillar and support of the truth” (1 Tim. 3:15). And those who are its leaders must follow the apostle Paul in proclaiming “the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27).   Turning things around will take “a massive, concerted long-term effort,” says Barna. But we must try. “We must pray for God’s guidance and power to bring about the reformation that He undoubtedly desires for America.”[29]

The Real Solution to Ungodliness - - - Trouble!

Unfortunately, the solution proposed by Dr. Vlach will not work.  That’s why God never wanted organized churches.  The only answer to the lack of godliness in this country and in this world is - - trouble.  Trouble is the only thing that changes a person.  When everything is going fine, we don’t change – precisely because everything’s going fine.  Why should we?   But when severe trouble hits, that’s when we change – at least sometimes.

That’s why God gave us the promise of  - - - trouble!

“In this world you WILL have tribulation, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33

But change in response to trouble must occur individually, one heart at a time.  It cannot be accomplished “corporately” by pastors preaching from the pulpit to large audiences.  Real changes in the heart occur only when “trouble” brings us to our knees, in the privacy of our own room, where we wrestle our problems out in the presence of God, when we recognize our absolute need for God to run our life.

Do the Members of the Illuminati Believe God Exists?

Obviously, the Jewish Illuminati, those who are running the world, do not believe that God exists, at least not the God of heaven, the author of the Bible who says:

“God will not be mocked; whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7

They are the authors of ALL the wars in history, including the French Revolution, The Civil War, World War I, the Bolshevik Revolution, World War II, the Vietnam War, war against Cambodia, the Korean (Conflict) War, wars in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, the Sudan, recent threats against North Korea, and Iran, which has already begun with Special Forces from the U.S., U.K., and Israel, working secretly in that country, and with U.S. troops stationed in almost every country in the world.

If those involved in these heinous crimes against humanity actually believed that God exists, and that they would “reap what they have sown” – that ALL the evil they have done will come right back on them - you can bet they would change their behavior.

Also, there is the war by the U.S. Government against the U.S. people carried on by Homeland Security, the Immigration Department loading America with Muslims, Asians, and other nationalities to try to spark racial war in America, and the War on Drugs, the War on Cancer (both of which are miserable failures, but have been successful in taking more of the taxpayers’ money) and now World War III, which is the phony War on Terror, allowing the U.S. to declare War on any nation in the world – “to eliminate terrorists.”

As author R. J. Rummel points out in his excellent book, “Death by Government,” that throughout the course of history, more people have been killed by their own government than have been killed by invading armies from other nation-states.

The Illuminati rulers of the world, steal the money from the masses in the form of usurious taxes, kill the young men and women from all nations by sending them into battle so the Illuminati can rape every nation of their natural resources, imprison and torture those who politically oppose them, keep the populations of nations constantly sick by withholding from them the necessary information and resources on how to be well so their drug company profits can soar, and sending billions of dollars in foreign aid to other countries, but not to the people – but to the friends of the Illuminati rulers, those who are hand-picked to be the sock-puppet government leaders of other nations, placed there by the Illuminati and those beholden to them.

How could any of them admit there is a God who promises they will “reap what they have sown”?

Does the average citizen believe God exists?

The average citizen of all countries has become so selfish he thinks, and cares, only about himself.  Mothers murder their unborn children – because it is not “convenient” for them to deliver and raise that child, a stance euphemistically called “pro-choice” as though that politically correct term can somehow sanitize the slaughter of innocent babies.  The middle-aged consign their elderly parents to warehouses, called nursing homes, where they wait to die, rather than the adult children caring for their fragile parents at home, because it’s “inconvenient.”

The closest bond in the family, the bond between a mother and her child, and between a child and his or her parents, has been thoroughly destroyed, and it has happened with the endorsement and complicity of the government.

Why does God allow Evil to Flourish?

If God exists, and if He is  “loving”, why does He allow the atrocities of war, serial killers, the physical and sexual abuse of innocent children, and man’s general inhumanity toward his fellow man?

Why do our adolescent and young adult children not listen to us when we tell them what is the right way to live, when we tell them not to make the same mistakes we did?  Because, they only learn by doing.  They have to make their own mistakes, just like we made ours.

We behave the same way with God.  God has told us in His Word the right way to live.  He has given us the Ten Commandments, He gave us the Sermon on the Mount, He has told us to “love our enemies and do good to those who hate us,” but do we really learn by God telling us how to behave?  Rarely.  We usually have to learn by making our own bad decisions and reaping the results, which are usually painful.

Unfortunately, we seem to learn only by having trouble and pain.  When everything is going fine, we never change.  Why should we?  But when the trouble starts, we often change to avoid continued pain, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual pain.

Evil flourishes because of the heart of man.  Everyone is a sinner.  Some sins are more horrific than others, at least to human eyes.  But all of us would be participants in the most ghastly acts except for the amount of God’s character we have in us.  There must be trouble in this world because that’s the only way we change.  And through all the trouble, God promises to be with us, to uphold us, to carry our burdens.

But God does not allow us to be subjected to random violence just because there is sin in the world.  Everything we go through, and everything everyone goes through, has a purpose and is part of the process through which we must travel to reach God’s pre-ordained goal for us.  As long as we remember that we have the God of the Universe, the Creator of heaven and earth, with us every moment, Jesus Christ who has conquered death and “overcome the world”, we have nothing to fear.

Evil must flourish until even the most evil people come to the realization that they don’t want to participate in evil anymore.  They must come to that conclusion through experience because obviously they would not listen if God just “told them” how evil, evil is, because God has already told them, through His Word, and they have refused to listen.

But “Evil” – Sin – is a self-limiting disease.  It eventually will burn itself out because when one finally reaps everything he has sown and it has all come back on him, the pain will become so intense that even he will abandon evil, even he will admit that evil doesn’t work, and even he will recognize his need for Jesus Christ to run his life.

God doesn’t enjoy watching His children suffer anymore than a parent enjoys watching his or her children suffer.  But like a kind and loving parent who teaches his or her child the right way, God has given His Word, and His Commandments – His teachings - to the world.  But most of the population of the world has rejected Christ’s teachings, and immense pain and suffering are the result.

But that is only a temporary situation.  Eventually, when everyone has experienced enough “fire” to spiritually refine them as “gold tried in the fire,” when they have learned extremely difficult lessons as a consequence of their wrong decisions, when they have come to the realization that they need Jesus Christ to run their life, they will have no more inclination to sin.

It is then that sin will have extinguished itself, and “God will be all in all.”  1 Cor 15:28

How do we know that God exists?

The theory of evolution is promoted as “science” whereas belief in creation is considered to be a religion.  The truth is that BOTH creation and evolution are religious beliefs as neither can be proved scientifically.  However, the scientific support for creation so far outweighs any supposed “scientific” data on evolution that there really is no contest, at least for the person who is willing to think for himself.

Design:

For example, everything on earth has a design.  Design requires a Designer.  You freely admit that your car did not “just happen”, it was designed by a designer and built by a car production crew.

The watch on your wrist did not “just happen,” it was designed by a designer.  It did not evolve over millions of years and suddenly end up on your wrist.

Yet your hand, that is attached to your wrist that wears your watch, can feel many different sensations: hot, cold, smooth, rough, soft, hard, sensations your watch can’t feel.  The hand can respond to the brain’s commands to perform intricate brain surgery, to play the piano, to paint beautiful pictures, things your watch could never do.  Your hand can heal itself when it is injured, and it is attached to a body that can reproduce itself to make little ones after its own kind, certainly something no watch can do.  Yet you believe that the watch was designed by a designer, but a human being, which is vastly more complex than a watch, just evolved.

Every flower, every leaf, and every blade of grass has a spectacular design.  And the closer you look, the higher the magnification you use, the more intricately organized and wonderfully amazing is the complexity of the design.

The machines that man makes to deliver oxygen or consume carbon dioxide are ugly, cumbersome and eventually end up as non-degradable junk, eyesores that pollute the planet.  But God’s machines that accomplish the same purpose, “machines” such as plants, trees and flowers, are magnificent, delicate and beautiful.  All are totally bio-degradable, they never pollute the environment.

Every aspect of nature proclaims the imprint of a Designer.  But most of the world chooses to ignore it.

Fine tuning of earth’s parameters:

What are the parameters necessary for life to exist on earth?

For life to be possible on earth, more than forty different elements must be able to bond together to form molecules, according to astronomer Hugh Ross, Ph.D.  Molecular bonding depends on two factors, the strength of the force of electromagnetism and the ratio of the mass of the electron to the mass of the proton.

If the electromagnetic force on earth were significantly larger, atoms would hang on to electrons so tightly that no sharing of electrons with other atoms would be possible and molecules could not form.  But if the electromagnetic force were significantly weaker, atoms would not hang on to electrons at all, and again, molecules could not form and life could not exist on earth.

In fact there are around 30 different parameters in the universe that must be present in very narrow ranges for life to exist on earth, parameters such as the gravitational force constant:  The strength of the force of gravity determines how hot the nuclear furnaces in the cores of stars will burn.  If the gravitational force were stronger than it is, stars would be so hot they would burn up relatively quickly, too quickly and too erratically for life to exist on earth.

A planet capable of sustaining life must be supported by a star that is both stable and long burning.  However, if the gravitational force were weaker, stars never would become hot enough to ignite nuclear fusion, says Dr. Ross.  In such a universe no elements heavier than hydrogen and helium would be produced, and life could not exist on earth.

Some other parameters that must be fine-tuned are:

A)  the expansion rate of the universe:  If it were larger, there would be no galaxy formation.  If it were smaller the universe would collapse prior to star formation.

B)  the velocity of light:  If it were faster, stars would be too luminous.  If it were slower, stars would not be luminous enough.

C)  the average distance between stars: If it were larger, heavy element density would be too thin for rocky planets to form.  If it were smaller, planetary orbits would become destabilized.

In order for life to exist on earth, these parameters must be fine-tuned to an accuracy of one part in 1037 or better, according to Dr. Ross.  He points out that one part in 1037 is such an incredibly sensitive balance that it is hard to visualize.  He gives the following analogy that might help you grasp this concept.

Cover the entire North American continent in dimes all the way to the moon, a height of about 239,000 miles.  (In comparison, the money to pay for the U.S. federal government debt would cover one square mile, less than two feet deep with dimes.)  Next, pile dimes from here to the moon on a billion other continents the same size as North America.  Paint one dime red and mix it into the billion piles of dimes.  Blindfold a friend and ask him to pick out one dime.  The odds that he will pick the red dime are one in 1037.  And this is only ONE of the parameters that is so delicately balanced to allow life to form.

The more accurately and extensively astronomers measure the universe, the more finely tuned they discover it to be.  Also, the degree of fine-tuning already measured is utterly amazing -- far beyond what human endeavors can accomplish.

For example, one of the best machines ever built by man allows measurements as accurate as one part in 1023.  By comparison, many different characteristics of the universe must be fine-tuned to greater than one part in 1037 for life of any kind to exist.  Because of these obvious factors in creation, scientists can conclude statistically that God is AT LEAST a hundred trillion times smarter and more capable than we human beings are with all our resources

All of this confirms Creation by a Master Designer.

Why in the world would you ever trust a human physician, when you have God as your Physician, the GREATEST Physician in the Universe who, according to scientists, is at least a hundred trillion times smarter than any human doctor!

The intricacies of a cell

The theory of evolution assumes that the chaotic motion of lifeless particles eventually endowed itself with a living awareness of its own existence.  It presumes that the chaos and confusion of lifeless, non-living particles produced intelligent living beings that can experience emotions, love their families and appreciate beautiful music. This is nothing more than the worship of nature under the guise of atheism.

When Darwin proposed the theory of evolution, or at least natural selection in the 1800’s, little was known about the inner workings of the human body.  Today, according to Robert Gange, Ph.D., it requires a room 24 feet high, 24 feet wide and 24 feet deep with objects as small as marbles to model the human cell. Darwin was completely unaware of the DNA and RNA complexes in a living cell.  If one stretches out the DNA in one human body, it would reach from the earth almost to the moon, 239,000 miles.  That’s how much DNA is in one human body.

The inside of a cell is absolutely unfathomable in its beauty and exquisite machinery.  The proof of God isn’t only in the vast outer reaches of the universe, it is in a little tiny microscopic cell.

Everything goes from Order to Disorder

The theory of evolution teaches that order came out of chaos, that order evolved from disorder, that vastly complex human beings came from slime or even “nothing”, according to some “scientists.”  Yet everything in our world testifies to the opposite.  Paper trash left in a garbage dump does not turn into a book.  Rotting fruits and vegetables will not eventually become fresh and delicious.  Human beings do not have more youthful bodies at 90 years of age than they do at 20.

On the contrary, scientists know that the Second Law of Thermodynamics states that everything goes from order to disorder. Paint on a house becomes weathered and worn, chrome bumpers rust and fall apart, human beings deteriorate with age and eventually die and disintegrate back to the earth.  Everything goes from order to disorder, totally contrary to the theory of evolution.

So how could the theory of evolution of the earth and its inhabitants be true if EVERYTHING in nature proves it wrong?

Creationists believe that a loving, personal God created everything perfect.  Then sin entered and the earth and everything in it began to decay as predicted by the Second Law of Thermodynamics and as documented by everything we see in our world.

All of this evidence is thrown aside by the evolutionists.  They suffer from a severe intellectual defect - a complete lack of wisdom.  Knowledge is obtained by the five senses.  We gather information by what we see (and read), what we hear, touch, smell and taste.  These are the only ways human beings can gather facts.  But in order to use these facts to reach the correct conclusions, we must have wisdom.  But wisdom comes ONLY from God!

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all men liberally. . .but let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.  For let not that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord.”  James 1:5-8

“The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.” (1 Cor 3:19)

Why do scientists embrace evolution and spurn Creation?

The reason the theory of evolution has gained such prominence and acceptance in this age is not because there is scientific evidence to support it, it is because scientists have decided that the idea of creation is unacceptable for the following reason: Creation requires a Creator God.  If there is a God, we are accountable to Him and we cannot live our lives as we please.  He has control over our lives, we cannot control Him.  We cannot make our own rules, thus the degenerate heart of man finds Creation an unacceptable answer.

The reason scientists refuse to accept creation is NOT a matter of scientific proof, it is a matter of moral accountability.  They simply refuse to be morally accountable to a Creator God.

Getting to know God includes learning the wonders of God by studying His marvelous Creation.  Nature is an easily accessible textbook that will help us learn about God’s magnificent character, His loving methods of operation, and His constant care for His creatures.
