Jesus Christ: The Ultimate

Transplant Surgeon!

When a Person Becomes a True Christian

How Does His Anatomy and Physiology Change?

Lorraine Day, M.D.

God promises us that when we are truly converted, we become “a new creation.”

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: the old is passed away; behold, ALL has become new.

Yet all is of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation.

That is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not reckoning their offenses to them, and placing in us the word of reconciliation.”  2 Cor 5:17-19

What is God’s goal?  And what are the changes that take place?

God’s goal is to make us strong, wise, full of understanding, fearless, at peace, patient, persevering, humble, joyous, healthy, and to be one with Him, so we will exhibit His character.

How does He do that?

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit." 2 Cor 3:18

Jesus Christ is the Ultimate Transplant Surgeon.  His Plan is to Replace the majority of our body parts, as well as change the way they work physiologically.  This is the way he transforms us into His image.

He gives us a new heart:

“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.  And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My ordinances and do them.”  Ez 36:25-27

“You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

“Forasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.”  2 Cor 3:2,3

"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel (Believers) after those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws into their mind, and write them upon their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people.”  Heb 8:10

“Create in me a clean heart, O God. . .”  Psalms 51:10

This is the New Covenant – the law written on our heart – instead of the law being written on stone, which is the Old covenant.

Without a change in our heart, it is impossible to keep the Ten Commandments, that’s why Jesus Christ will “write the law” in our heart.  He then gives us the power and self control to keep the law.

He gives us a new brain:  Renewing of the mind

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.”  Romans 12:2

Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus.”  Phil 2:5

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know (understand) them, because spiritual things are (only) spiritually understood

“But he that is spiritual discerns all things (the spiritual man understands truth), yet he himself is discerned of no man (the unspiritual man cannot understand what the spiritual man is talking about).

“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he shall instruct Him?  But we have the mind of Christ.”  1 Cor 2: 14-16

“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”  2 Tim 1:

He gives us new lungs (new breath):

God’s breath of holiness: mistranslated “Holy Spirit.”

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit (breath) within me.”  Psalm 51:10

“I will put My spirit (God’s breath of holiness) in you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them.”  Ezekiel 36:27

“What? Don’t you know that your body it the temple of God’s breath of holiness which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?

For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit (spiritual breath) which are God’s.”  1 Cor 7:19,20

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit (breath) of God dwells in you?

“If any man defiles the temple of God (your body), him shall God destroy’ for the temple of God is holy; which temple you are.”

“Let no man deceive himself, if any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be (truly) wise.

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.  For it is written, He taketh (down) the wise in their own craftiness.

“And again, The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

“Therefore let no man glory in men. . .” 1 Cor 3:16-21

“So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

“But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, If so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you.  Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.

“And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness.

“But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (vivify – give eonian life to) your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.

“For if you live after the flesh (an unregenerate life), you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  Romans 8:8-14

God breathed breath into Adam’s nostrils to give Adam physical life (psuche in the Greek).

God breathes His “breath of holiness” (mistranslated Holy Spirit) into us to give us spiritual life (zoe in the Greek).

The physical life is kept alive by physical food.

The spiritual life is kept alive by feeding on spiritual food – God’s word – the “bread from heaven.”  That’s why we are told to “eat His flesh and drink His blood.” – spiritually.

“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you have no life (zoeeonian life) in you.

“Whoso eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, hath eonian life (the life of Jesus Christ in you) and I will raise Him up at the last day.

“For My flesh is food (broma in the Greek = food, not “meat”) indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.

“He that eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, dwells in Me, and I in him.

“As the living Father has sent Me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth Me, even He shall live by Me.

“This is that bread that came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall have life eonian (the life of Christ in you - mistranslated “shall live forever.”  The word “forever” is not in the Bible in the original Greek).  John 6:53-58

“The fruit of the spirit (God’s breath of holiness in you) is love, joy,  peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faith, humility and self control.”  Gal 5:22,23

“Thus saith God the Lord, He that created the heavens, and stretched them out; He that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; He that giveth (physical) breath unto the people upon it, and spirit( spiritual breath = God’s breath of holiness) to them that walk therein.”  Isa 42:5

“But if you are led by the Spirit (God’s breath of holiness), you are not under the law.”  Gal 5:18

This last text is one of the most misunderstood texts in the Bible.

The law of a country or state only has authority over those who are “breaking” the law.  If you are speeding, a policeman has a right to pull you over and give you a ticket.  But if you are NOT breaking the law, if you are obeying the law by staying within the speed limit, the policeman has no jurisdiction over you.  Therefore, you are NOT “under the (jurisdiction) of the law.”

Being “not under the law” means you are already “keeping the law” not that you have abandoned the law.

If you have the spirit of Jesus Christ running your life, you won’t have a desire to “break” the law, thus you will be able to “keep” the law – automatically. When Jesus Christ is making ALL the decisions in your life, then you will be perfectly “keeping” His laws, commandments and decrees.

That is what it means to be under “grace” and not under the law.  It means that Jesus Christ has come into your life and HE is the One who, through you, is making your decisions.  And His decisions are not only right – they are in full accord with His law.  When you are “under grace” you are already “keeping the law” because your heart has been changed and you have no desire or intention of breaking the law.

A loving mother, in regard to her children, is not “under the law” of the commandment that says, “Thou shalt not kill.”  She doesn’t get up each morning and make the decision not to kill her children just because the Ten Commandments forbid it.  She has no intention of killing her children, because she loves them.  Therefore, the “law” has no authority over her because her heart has love for her children, and the thought of killing them would never come into her mind.  She is automatically keeping the law without even thinking about it.

That is what it means to be “not under the law.”

“Grace” means Jesus does it ALL.  Jesus has changed that person’s heart and mind so he or she automatically keeps the law.  He or she has no desire or inclination not to keep the law.

He gives us a new mouth:

“Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.”   21:23

“Out of the heart, the mouth speaketh.”  Matt 12:34

When one’s heart is changed, the words that come out of the mouth also change.

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.”  Psalm 19:14

He gives us new eyes: to see truth

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God (and understand His character).” Matt 5:8

“Open Thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy law.” Ps 118:19

“I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thy hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light to the Unbelievers (Gentiles), to open the (spiritually) blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison (of sin), and them that sit in darkness (who cannot see truth) out of the prison house.”  Isa 42:6,7

He gives us new ears: to hear His voice

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”  John 10:27”

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by (studying) the Word of God.”  Romans 10:17

“He that has ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the ecclesias (God’s people everywhere in the world).” Rev 3:22

He gives us a new “belly”

“He that believeth on Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”  John 7:38

We will not be able to stop sharing with others the “Good News About God.”

He gives us new kidneys:

“...and all the ecclesia shall know that I am He which searcheth the reins (kidneys) and the hearts.” Rev 2:23

“Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just: for the righteous God tests the hearts and reins.”  Psalm 7:9

He gives us new feet

“He makes my feet like the feet of a deer (sure-footed), and sets me upon my high places.”  Psalm 18:33

He gives us Health

I will give you back your health again, and heal your wounds.”  Jer 30:17

“He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases.”  Psalm 103:3

If you obey My laws, commandments and decrees, I will keep you free from every disease.”  Deut 7:11-15

“I am the Lord who heals you.”  Exodus 15:26

With our new health, and new, transformed body parts, including a new heart, mind, lungs (breath), belly, mouth, eyes and ears, our body has truly become God’s temple.

As a result, we now have:

A New character

“We glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation brings patience, and patience, experience, and experience, expectation. And expectation does not make one ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by God’s breath of holiness which is given unto us.”  Romans 5:3-5

Strength

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.  Therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise.”  Psalm 28:7

“The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the strength of my salvation, and my high tower.  I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.”  Ps 18:2,3

“It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.”  Psalm 18:32

Wisdom

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally, and without reproach; and it shall be given him.

But let him ask in faith, never doubting.  For he that doubts is like a wave `            of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

“For let not that man think that he will receive anything from the Lord.

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.””  James 1:5

Lack of Fear

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will

fear no evil.  They rod and thy staff, they comfort me.”  Psalm 32:23:4

Fear not, for I am with you.  Be not dismayed for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, yea, I will help you, yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.”  Isa 41:11

“For God has not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”  2 Tim 1:8

“Let not your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”  John 14:1-3

"When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.” Prov 3:24

These “new” organs and new attributes result in a “new kind of life.

Jesus gave us the first intimation of what this Life would do for man.

“In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness could not comprehend it.” John 1:4,5

The Greek word is “zoe,” the new kind of Life that Jesus brought to the world.  In John 10:10 He said:

“I am come that ye might have Life (zoe), and have life more abundantly.” John 10:10

Man was to have a right to enjoy an abundance of a new kind of Life.

The Greek word for “natural, human life” is “psuche.”  But the word “zoe” for life – means the life of Christ when He lives in us – eonian life – mistranslated as “eternal life.”

This is a miraculous recreation of man.  It is God actually giving birth to a new man. It is, in reality, God imparting His very Nature, Substance, and Being to us as human beings.

The New Creation, then, is a miracle.  It is man receiving a foreign Nature that recreates his spirit and makes him a new species among men.

The Church has never understood this New Creation fact.  Its leaders have never realized the possibilities that this New Nature offers to men.  That’s why the Churches teach that “No one is perfect” and “No one can become perfect on this earth.”

But the Bible says,

“Ye shall be perfect.  (literal translation of Matt 5:48

How perfect?

“. . . as your Father in heaven is perfect.”  Matt 5:48

That’s as Perfect as you can get!

Furthermore, the Churches do not understand that the words eternal life are not found in the Bible.  Nor are the words, forever, or everlasting, or eternity.  Those words, properly translated, are variations of the word eon or eonian

An eon is a long period of time, with a beginning and an end.  The word does not mean “eternity.”

Again, eonian life refers to the Life of Christ (zoe) in us, as we exhibit His character and disposition.

There is one place in the Bible where God talks about what we view as eternal life – never dying – and that is in 1 Cor 15:22-28, where God states that He will abolish “death” (so ALL will be alive) and He then will be “All in ALL.”

“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. . . that God may be ALL n all.”  1 Cor 15:26,28

When “death” is abolished, then no one will be dead.  Therefore, everyone will live forever.

A New Kind of Life

This New Kind of Life produces certain changes in man.

People can see the effect at once of this Life in a man – in his habits, his speech.

It changes conduct, corrects habits, and forms new ones.

Teenagers who have it seldom, if ever, sow wild oats.

No drunkards have it.

No confirmed smokers have it.

No crooks or thieves or crooked politicians have it.

No infidels and agnostics have it.

The cultured scholastic agnostic knows nothing of it.

When criminals and the lawless receive eonian Life, they become law-abiding citizens and worthy examples in society.  Thieves become honest; drunkards become sober.  No case is incurable.

It destroys the cause of friction in homes and every department of life.

In all walks of life it eliminates selfishness, and in its places gives a new kind of Love and a new outlook on life.

The worst criminals begin speaking for the Lord.

The most Godless of men become faithful husbands and fathers.

The gambler and the outcast become clean, worthy citizens.

Something comes into them that affects their mental processes and governs their morals.

Forgiveness by itself has no power to change a man’s nature.  But eonian life does.

It is Christ who brings eonian life to the converted heart.   If people had eonian life, we wouldn’t need burglar alarms, security alarms when one leaves a department store, security cameras everywhere, or police.

All this would stop being.

This is not a theory—not philosophy, metaphysics, or psychology.

This is real Christianity, the things that Jesus brought to the world.

No other religion has it: not Buddhism, not Hinduism, not Islam, not Judaism.

The New Creation from Jesus Christ is the most outstanding miracle of human experience.  To think that a person can receive into his spirit the very Nature and Life of God is an incredible thing to the natural mind.

The natural man – the man who has not received eonian life – cannot understand the things of God.

“Now the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because spiritual things are spiritually understood.”  1 Cor 2:14

It is not strange that the natural man doubts the Bible and the miracles of Jesus.  It is a perfectly normal thing for him to do this because he cannot understand them.  They are in a realm above him.

The natural man is spiritually dead.

It is not strange that medical doctors cannot understand how God’s Health Plan can make a person well.  It is a perfectly normal thing for them because they cannot understand spiritual things.  Spiritual things are in a realm above them.

It is not strange that people like Stephen Hawking cannot understand Christianity and Creation, and, instead, believes in evolution.  Spiritual things are in a realm above him.

Unfortunately, society has drifted farther and farther away from God.  And because it has, human beings have become less intelligent.  They are less able to solve problems.  They make unbelievably bad judgments.

Why Jesus came to earth

It is shocking that the Organized churches do not even understand the reason Jesus came to earth – which is the centerpiece of Christianity.

“He came that we may have Life (zoe – eonian life) and have it abundantly.”  John 10:10

All the trouble in the world is caused by the LACK of “eonian life” – the life of Jesus Christ exhibited in individuals.

Man is Spiritually Dead

“And you He did make alive (with eonian life = Christ’s character), when you were (spiritually) dead through your trespasses and sins.”  Eph 2:1

Spiritual Death is the nature of the adversary.  When Adam sinned in the garden, he became a partaker of Satanic nature.  This nature has been the cause of all the sin, misery, and sickness of the human race.  It has given man hatred and jealousy and bitterness.  All the crimes and miseries of the ages are the result of this nature that man possesses.  The reason that man cannot stand right with God is that his nature is at war with God.

“It is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be.”  Rom 8:7

Jesus Christ must change our Nature and make us spiritually alive.

“And you He did make alive, when you were dead through your trespasses and sins.”  Eph 2:1

Our popular Christianity is the product in part of the Catholic Dark Ages.

It is not the Christianity of the Epistles of Paul.  The church talks a little about sin and repentance for sin, nothing is said about eonian life.  Forgiveness for sins doesn’t stop a person from sinning.  What the sinner needs is a New Nature.  He must be Recreated.

“We become partakers of the Divine Nature and escape the corruption that is in the world by lust.”  2 Peter 1:4

The only way we escape this spiritual death is by a New Birth, receiving a New Nature.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish (be lost), but have eonian life (the life of Christ in him).  John 3:16

“He that heareth My Word, and believeth Him that sent Me, hath eonian Life, and cometh not into judgment, but has passed out of death into (eonian) life.”  John 5:24

The one  who receives eonian Life passes out of the realm of Death, Satan’s dominion and realm, and into the realm of life.

It is an actual birth out of Satan’s family into God’s family, spoken of in Col 1:13:

“Who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His Love.”

That is the New Birth.

With the New Creation there comes a New mode of life.

“We know we have passed out of Death into (eonian) life, because we love the brethren.”

“He that loveth not abideth in death.

“Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer has eonian life abiding in him.” 1 John 3:14-15

Christianity is not a religion.  It is not joining a church.  It is not having your sins forgiven.  It is receiving the Nature of God – Eonian Life.

Until one does receive Eonian life, he is not a child of God.

Without Eonian life – the life of Christ being exhibited in you – your “Christianity” is nothing more than mental assent.

The natural man, the man with an unregenerate heart, can become very “religious” – but his heart has not been changed.

“This people draws near me with their mouth and with their lips  they do honor me– but their hearts are far from Me.”  Isa 29:13

A new kind of love.

The Love that was in Jesus Christ is the love that is to rule in our heart.

Jesus said:  “A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another even as I have loved you.  By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love one to another.”  John 13:34-35”

“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.  And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My ordinances and do them.”  Ez 6:25-27

“Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin.”  Romans 6:6

The Greek word phileo is natural love – selfish love.

The Greek word agape is Christ’s kind of love – Unselfish love.

It is said that the word agape is not found in classical Greek before the time of Jesus.  If so, that is evidence that the word Agape was coined in the realm of divine Revelation.  That would mean that Jesus coined the word.

Love is the fruit of the recreated Human Spirit.

Love is the one thing in the human being that never grows old, never wears out.

God’s kind of love allows us to see men through God’s eyes.  We can see the sinner as a recreated man.  We can see selfishness turned into love and humility.  Love in us is greater than anything that can oppose us.  Love makes us conquerors with Jesus Christ.

Love seeks not its own.  Love never takes advantage of anyone.

stten of God.:  1 John 4:7

In Ephesians 5:2, we are told to “walk in love.  “Walk” means “conduct.”  It means the businessman’s attitude toward his competitor or his customer.  We are going to treat men as God treats them.

Love is revolutionary; it is not commonplace.  It changes the crude base metals of the human being into the most priceless.  It takes a common man and makes him uncommon.

Love made Perfect

“Herein is love made perfect with us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, even so are we in the world.  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear.”  1 John 4:17

When we are united with Christ in love, love so fills us that fear has no place in our life.  We have the use of the Name (Character) of Jesus that has “all authority” over demons, circumstances and the laws of nature, so the source of fear is vanquished.  Love lifts one out of the commonplace into the supernatural.

“Ye are of God, my little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”  1 John 4:4

The “New Creation in Christ” will happen eventually to every human being who has ever lived.

"The (entire) creation itself will be delivered from the bondage of corruption (sin) into the glorious liberty of the glory of the children of God."  Romans 8:21

So when God makes all things new, he makes us new spiritually and morally, he makes us new physically, and then he makes the whole creation new so that our environment fits our perfected new physical and spiritual nature.

“Behold, I make ALL new.

“And He said unto me,

“Write: for these words are true and faithful.”  Rev 21:5”
